Elective Subjects
Students select 3 to 4 subjects based on their interests and career goals:
- History: Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Indian History, alongside basic World History.
- Geography: Physical Geography, Human Geography, Natural Resources, and Global Climate (Includes a 30-mark practical).
- Political Science: Indian Constitution, Working of Government, Public Administration, and Contemporary World Politics.
- Economics: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Indian Economic Development.
- Sociology: Indian Society, Social Change, Social Institutions, and Social Issues.
- Psychology: Basic psychological processes, intelligence, and human development (Includes a 30-mark practical).
- Home Science: Nutrition, Resource Management, Human Development, and Textiles (Includes a 30-mark practical).
- Philosophy & Logic: Introduction to Indian and Western Philosophy.
Exam Marking Scheme
- Subjects without Practicals (100 Marks): 100-mark written theory paper.
- Subjects with Practicals (100 Marks): 70-mark theory paper and a 30-mark practical assessment.
- Minimum Passing Marks: 33% per subject and 33% aggregate overall.
